WE ARE A RESULT-ORIENTED ORGANIZATION.
We have created programs that are tailor made to enhance success in Africa by contributing to the development of leaders of integrity.
Integrity Formation in Early Childhood
Teachers, parents, aspiring parents and care givers of young children.
Immunity to corruption is as necessary as immunity to disease in our continent today. If we cannot raise our own children to be men and women of stature who not only respect themselves but the world, then we cannot have integrity in our future generations. They need to learn that their success should not come at the expense of their own brothers and sisters, who like them are coming up in the world of the same struggles and challenges. Growing up with the knowledge that leadership positions are always held in trust on behalf of others will build their immunity to corruption. Therefore, we must teach them integrity from an early age. Thus this program is aimed training Kindergarten and all early childhood teachers including parents, aspiring parents to impact our future generations to be people we are proud to call our leaders when their time comes.
Leaders’ Immunity to Corruption
Policy makers, Executive and Management staff
If our own leaders in office cannot be trusted with their position due to a notable lack of integrity, then any organisation or even country cannot function as it is supposed to. Our leaders are to be looked toward for guidance and leadership, not be questioned at every turn and investigated. Thus they must be taught the integrity they need to maintain their position and take the institutions they lead to greater heights. ASEL believes that before anyone assumes any form of leadership especially in organizational set up, he/she must be aware of the meaning and responsibility of leadership as well as the leadership styles that exist and what works best where. At ASEL, we help build leaders’ immunity to corruption by sharing the Principles of Servant Leadership.
HR professionals and senior managers
HR professionals occupy a very privileged position of influence in most organizations. The human resources team is tasked with staff issues of hiring and letting go of employees. They deal with very sensitive parts of the organization and can often have enough room for a grand misuse of resources and taking advantage of their position if they do not commit to integrity. With such a central role of influence, ASEL seeks to train HR professionals to evaluate their positions as servant leaders and function as role models of integrity in organizations. With this we hope organisations will achieve better working and gain only beneficial people hired on merit.
Positive Thinking Inspirational Seminars
– Our youth must be inspired and motivated to continue to innovate to improve their nation and themselves while discovering their calling and purpose in life that will eventually lead them to their purpose. The central theme of this programme is positive thinking and integrity transformation. Our youth must be educated on the power of positive thinking and what a change it can make not only in their lives but the whole world. Our past could be responsible for the negative thinking and self-doubt that cripples many today. It’s important to show the young people how one can overcome such. So we continue to give them the tools they need to improve themselves. This program extends to uniting African youths who aspire to be leaders to form themselves into a group called “Strategic Youths”.
Family is the backbone of any society. The moral fabric formed in one’s upbringing lasts a life time. This program aims at restating our moral values of honesty and truthfulness in conduct, word and deed and encouraging family leaders to live by example and deliberately establish families that teach responsibility for self and society’s wellbeing
Something that makes the continent of Africa great is its diversity, in race, language, religion, culture and so many other ways. Our youth and all people must embrace this diversity and expand their borders, intermarrying, working with, and for each other in the interest of creating a better continent for themselves and those who shall come afterwards. This program is embedded in all our trainings.
Showcase and Idea Exchange
Africa is full of successful and bright ideas that have impacted and changed the communities around them. Although this may not be showcased to a large extent, we aim to provide a platform for these successes to be shared, improved and replicated across the continent. No one has ever succeeded by constantly being reminded about their failures and weaknesses. On the contrary, encouragement and appreciation of small wins inspires and transforms people to discover their full potential. We cannot always paint ourselves in the worst light and must be mindful of what our youth are achieving, thus this program.
Showcase and Idea Exchange
Servant leadership (SL) emphasizes a set of behaviors and practices that turn the traditional "power leadership" model upside down; instead of the people working to serve the leader, the leader actually exists to serve the people. Thus servant leadership focuses on the growth and well-being of people and the communities that are served by the leadership. ASEL believes that applying servant leadership principles builds leaders’ immunity to corruption. Our main purpose in this program is to influence, equip and inspire leaders in Africa to adopt servant leadership principles.
